The Yonkers Democratic Committee chair is making a final push for endorsed candidates ahead of the June 23 primary election.
Yonkers Democratic Chairman Thomas Meier is expected to be joined by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and other elected and party officials this afternoon at Van Der Donck Park in the city. They’ll be on hand to encourage Democrats to support the party’s endorsed candidates and help explain the changes made to Yonkers polling locations because of COVID-19. Congressman Eliot Engel, who is facing a difficult primary, along with Westchester District County Attorney Anthony Scarpino, also is in a primary race, are also expected to be on hand.
