Rockland County, New York has a new program to help small businesses and nonprofits reopen safely emerging from the COVID-19 crisis.
With the Mid-Hudson Region having begun Phase One of reopening, Rockland County Executive Ed Day says the “ROCK GOV — FACE COV” program will provide face masks to small businesses as employees return to work in person. To be eligible for the program, small businesses must employ up to 20 full-time employees and be a for-profit or non-profit organization with its majority of operations in Rockland County. Each business or non-profit will receive 100 face masks, masks that were donated to the county. Businesses must submit a request formno later than June 2 to receive the masks, which will be distributed at the county’s fire training center in Pomona June 5.
