Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market

In New York, the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market plans an early opening during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market will open its season this year one month early to increase access for city residents to fresh, healthy food. The market will run beginning May 4, weekly, on Monday afternoons from 3-6:30 in the Pavilion at the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum, on North Water Street. Though the museum, which manages the market, is part of statewide closures, its public farmers market has been deemed an essential business. The market began in 2017 to address food insecurity in Poughkeepsie, which is of even more concern during the pandemic.
