The majority whip of the House of Representatives will be campaigning in New York’s 19th congressional District Friday with freshman Republican John Faso.
Republican Steve Scalise will appear with Faso in Greene County, kicking off a so-called Barnstorm Blitz. The kickoff begins Friday morning at The Inn at Leeds, as Faso’s campaign team enters the final days of its get-out-the-vote effort. House Speaker Paul Ryan was in the district in October. Faso faces Democrat Antonio Delgado, and polls show the race is tight. Former Vice President Joe Biden was in Kingston last week headlining a rally for Delgado. The 19th congressional district is an 11-county swing district in the national spotlight.
