A new pilot school is set to open in September where education is based on the Buddhist view of wisdom and compassion. WAMC’s Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne spoke with the Middle Way School’s Executive Director Noa Jones about the school in Saugerties, New York.

Noa Jones says the pilot school will be the first of its kind in the world. The Middle Way School of the Hudson Valley will open with a mixed-age kindergarten and grades 1 and 2, with plans to add a grade each year to grow into a full K-12 school.
