A new shuttle service begins Saturday in Kingston.

Kingston Mayor Steve Noble will take the inaugural ride at noon at the intersection of North Front and Wall Streets. Riders pay $2 for the entire day, allowing them to hop on and off as desired. Noble says the shuttle will operate Saturday from noon until 10 p.m. and Friday evenings from 5:30 until 10:30. Noble says the new service is to make it easier for people to visit the business districts. Pickup locations include Academy Green, Ulster Performing Arts Center, and other stops along Broadway. Two locations will be served on Saturdays only — Kingston Point Beach and the intersection of North Street and Delaware Avenue.
