A former New York state senator in the Hudson Valley tells WAMC he wants to take back the seat he held for one term.
Democrat Terry Gipson intends to run for the 41st state Senate District.
“So my plans are to run for the state senate again for the district in Dutchess and Putnam Counties, but at the moment I’m putting together my infrastructure to solidify the campaign and at the appropriate time I will make an official launch of my campaign and make an official announcement,” says Gipson.
Republican Sue Serino, a former Dutchess County legislator, defeated Gipson in the 2014 election with about 51 percent of the vote.
