Culvert Collapse Closes A Dutchess Road

A road in Dutchess County is expected to be closed for several weeks following a culvert collapse.

The Dutchess County Department of Public Works says Hollow Road, which is County Road 14, in the Town of Clinton is closed between Route 9G and North Quaker Lane. Only local traffic is permitted.  The closure is a result of a collapsed culvert, which allows a tributary of Crum Elbow Creek to pass underneath. Hollow Road is expected to be closed for several weeks, pending repair plan approval from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Hollow Road averages about 3,300 cars per day.
