Early Learning Programs In Orange County Receive Funding

More than $1 million in federal funding is early learning and head start programs in Orange County.

Democrats U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney Thursday announced the more than $1 million in funding for Regional Economic Community Action Program, or RECAP, an Orange County community-based nonprofit organization. The federal investment will support Early Learning and Head Start programs that provide education and development services for low-income children. Maloney says the Head Start program helps to provide early childhood education services to 184 low-income preschool children in Middletown and Port Jervis.
