Former County Exec Joins Law Firm

A former county executive in the Hudson Valley has a new job.

Former Republican Rockland County Executive Scott Vanderhoef has joined Manhattan-based law firm Saretsky Katz Dranoff & Glass. Alan Katz, one of SKDG’s founding partners, says Vanderhoef will provide clients with advice on matters relating to governmental affairs and public policy, including election law, state and local procurement issues, union negotiation, public record issues, Open Public Meeting Act issues, bidding matters, local government ethics, utility franchising and the use of public rights of way. As an attorney with SKDG, Vanderhoef also will provide mediation and arbitration services. Vanderhoef served as Rockland county executive for 20 years, deciding not to seek a sixth term.
