Spring Birding Walk

Spring Birding Walk

Join us for a springtime guided amateur birding walk led by John Loz. This introductory birding event will cover birding essentials, binocular usage, and tips and tricks for spotting and identifying our area's birds. We will practice our skills during a walk along Lincoln Pond Trail.

John Loz is the past-President of the Audubon Society of the Capital Region and the Southern Adirondack Audubon Society. He is the Programs and Field Trips Chair for the Southern Adirondack Audubon Society and a board member of ECOS: The Environmental Clearinghouse in Schenectady, NY. John works at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Discovery Center as its Operations Manager. He has won a number of Audubon New York leadership awards and enjoys hiking various mountain ranges, reading, traveling, and, of course, birding in a number of Central and South American countries.

Registration is required for this event and limited to 15 people. Suggested donation $5 for non-members; current Huyck Preserve members free
