"Perpetual Seam" and "Belongings"
Two contemporary group exhibitions will run from August 10 — September 15, 2024, at North Loop in Williamstown. An opening reception will be held at the gallery, 112 Water Street, on August 10 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
North Loop Gallery in Williamstown Massachusetts presents “Perpetual Seam” and “Belongings”, two simultaneous group shows. “Perpetual Seam” features painting, drawing, and sculpture by Gaby Collins-Fernandez, Gabrielle D’Angelo, and Carlos Martinez Ramos. These artists create joyful and layered works that elide linguistic pin-downs, generating pluralistic interpretations that elaborate over time and through the viewer’s imagination. “Belongings” exhibits photography, video, and new media works by Phoebe Shuman-Goodier, Ariana Gomez, Alexandre Pépin, and Rodell Warner. The works in “Belongings” point to the need to visualize memory and lineage to create a sense of belonging. The shows will open on August 10th with an opening reception held at the gallery from 5-7 pm at 112 Water Street, Williamstown, MA.
