Performance and Architecture Symposium
An exploration of the relations between performance and architecture—performing architecture, performance as architecture, and architecture as performance—to see how they affect our understanding, imagination, and habitation of physical and discursive space. Presentations by Jane Sawyer, Founder/Director, Cook County Arts Collective; Ross Elfline, Art and Art History, Carleton College; Claire Grace, Art History, Wesleyan University; Andrea Moore, Music, Smith College; and Mechtild Widrich, Art History, Theory, and Criticism, School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The first day of the symposium begins Friday, April 10th at 5:00 pm.
