Join us on March 28th, 2026 for this exciting mini-symposium featuring local historians and Erie Canal experts!
We'll meet at the beautiful Arkell Museum at Canajoharie, surrounded by history and amazing art. Four presentations by top notch speakers will provide insight, intrigue, and interesting lessons on the history of the canalway in the valley that made it all possible.
Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site and the Arkell Museum present this program with the Canal Society of New York, the Erie Canal Museum, The Montgomery County Dept. of History & Archives, and the Montgomery County Historical Society.
