Echoes of Tradition: Artist Demonstration - Samantha Jacobs from Seneca Cattaraugus Reservation produces fully beaded western style and Northeast style gathered toe moccasins using buffalo, moose, deer, and elk hide, as well as traditional Haudenosaunee center seam form constructed from a single piece of leather. Her most recent investigations include extravagant knee length mukluks with raised beadwork, fur, moosehair embroidery and tufting.
