Echoes of Tradition: Artist Demonstration
Echoes of Tradition: Artist Demonstration
Seneca Turtle Clan artist Mike Crouse from Steamburg, NY learned the art of woodworking as a young boy. He is best known for his cow horn rattles, bark rattles, and snowsnakes. His work has been featured at the Burchfield Nature and Art Center and the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum in western NY. This is the first time the Iroquois Museum has hosted this veteran artisan. These events are made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Institute of Museum & Library Services, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and friends and members of the Iroquois Museum.
