Beekman 1802 and Mohawk Hudson Humane Society “Save Toto! Witches Bike Ride”
On Saturday, October 26, the village Sharon Springs, N.Y. will be filled with witches on bikes as Beekman 1802 and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) team up for the ‘Save Toto’ Witches Bike Ride. The event is in celebration of Beekman’s There’s No Place Like Home holiday theme.
The registration fee is $25 per rider with proceeds benefiting MHHS. Participants must register in advance online at Beekman1802.com. Check-in on event day begins at 9:00 a.m. at Sharon Springs Central School, 514 State Highway 20, and witches will take flight at 10:00 a.m. They will ride approximately 5 miles to the Beekman Farm and back.
This family-friendly event encourages riders of all ages to dress up like witches and get into the season spirit. Following the ride, there will be refreshments provided by Stewart’s Shops and a costume contest with prizes for the winners.
“Our own farm dog is a rescue dog, and we understand the value of the work that is done by MHHS, its staff, and volunteers, which is why we are so excited to partner in this community fundraising event,” said Josh Kilmer-Purcell, co-founder, Beekman 1802.
“We are honored to partner with Beekman 1802, a worldwide brand known for its commitment to community and kindness, located right in our own backyard. The theme could not be more perfect for our work of encouraging adoption and mission of transforming the lives of animals and people through partnerships, protection, and hope,” said MHHS President and CEO Ashley Jeffrey Bouck.
The rain date is Sunday, October 27. For more information, please contact events@mohawkhumane.org.
