Art of New York: Annual Juried Art Show
Art of New York: Annual Juried Art Show opens in the Regional Art Galleries of the Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library on Friday, May 12. The show features a wide variety of artistic styles and mediums; oil, acrylic, gouache, and watercolor paintings, photography, and sculpture. Juror Eden Compton of Saratoga Springs selected forty-two pieces by thirty-seven artists from across New York State. The show runs through July 23 with a public reception and awards presented on Saturday, May 20, from 1-4 pm. Awards are sponsored by Golden Artist Colors and Blick Art Materials. Visitor Information: Free admission to the Regional Art Galleries, Museum admission free for members and children under 11; $9 adults, $6.50 seniors & students. The Museum, Regional Art Galleries, and Library are open Tues - Fri, 10 am-5 pm; Sat & Sun, noon-5 pm. The Regional Art Galleries and Library remain open until 6:00 pm on Wednesdays. The Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library are located at 2 Erie Boulevard. The building has off-street parking and is wheelchair accessible.
