The Capital Region's hometown fair features midway rides and games, the Royal Hanneford Circus, Aim High Canines show, Sea Lion Splash, racing pigs, Master Hypnotist Michael DeSchalit, live music, a demolition derby, animal barns, livestock shows, horse shows, exotic reptiles, lumberjack show, Blue Ribbon Cooking Center activities, exhibits, demonstrations, favorite fair food and more.

Fair highlights:
Tuesday: Miss Altamont Fair Pageant (4 pm), Nite Train (6 pm)
Wednesday: 4-H Llama Show (1 pm), Schenectady Pipe Band (7 pm)
Thursday: Ice Cream Social (3 pm), Aquanett (7 pm)
Friday: Goat Costume Competition (4 pm), Geezer (8-11 pm)
Saturday: Capital District Megaband (12-3 pm), Power Wheels Demo Derby (6 pm), Big Sky Country (8 pm)
Sunday: Demolition Derby (5 pm) and Grit N Whiskey (6-8 pm)

Pay-one-price admission (includes rides, shows, attractions, exhibits and parking) is $22 on site, $18 online pre-sale at Tickets, and free Wednesday (with ID) for ages 65 and older, Grange members, active military and veterans. Children under 36 inches tall are admitted free (rides not included; kiddie playground available).

Fair gates open at noon Tuesday and 10 am Wednesday - Sunday (8 am for livestock events). Midway hours: 2-10 pm Tuesday, noon-10 pm Wednesday - Thursday, noon-11 pm Friday - Saturday, noon-8 pm Sunday
