Albany police have identified the woman killed in a pedestrian crash last night on Washington Avenue as Ludmilla Vink of Albany. According to police, the 92-year-old was hit by a car near the intersection with Quail Street around 9 p.m.

She was treated at the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Police say it appears Vink stepped out between two parked vehicles attempting to cross Washington Avenue when a vehicle that had just turned onto Washington hit her.

The driver stopped immediately. Police continue to investigate.
