Election Day Is Here

Kathy Sheehan

Election Day has arrived ... the polls are open ...  most of the races today entail state and city offices and issues... Americans are being urged to get out and make every vote count.  The Mayoral race in Albany will be closely-watched . City Treasurer Democrat Kathy Sheehan is expected to take the election. Those who follow politics will be looking to see which -if any- of Sheehan's 5 challengers are able to capture a significant number of votes.

The polls are open across New York State until 9 p.m. You have the right to vote as long as you are in line before 9 p.m.  If you're not sure where to go to cast your ballot, you can find out by clicking here.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says his Election Day hotline, 800-771-7755, will help people facing language issues, polling place barriers and other potential civil rights problems.
