Albany Symphony Presents Bolero And More On 3/9

This Saturday, March 9, The Albany Symphony will be at The Palace Theatre in Albany, New York presenting a program which features Hindemith’s “Mathis der Maler,” Morton Gould’s “Fall River Legend,” Ravel’s “Boléro,” and the World Premiere of Robert Honstein’s Percussion Concerto, “Juvenalia.”

Robert Honstein co-founded the Sleeping Giant composer collective, co-directs the Times Two Series, and teaches composition at NYU. “Juvenalia” was commissioned by the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition at Brigham Young University for percussionist Colin Currie and the Albany Symphony Orchestra.

Albany Symphony Music Director and Conductor, David Alan Miller, joins us now along with composer Robert Honstein.
