Albany, NY – In today's Academic Minute, Dr. Richard Young of the State University of New York Geneseo explains how modern technology has provided a more accurate history of the Grand Canyon.
Richard Young is the Distinguished Service Professor of Geological Sciences at the State University of New York Geneseo. Between 1977 and 1993, he also served as a hydrologist for the U.S. Geological Survey. Since 1994, Young has been a consultant to the New York State Attorney General's Office on issues related to the Retsof Mine collapse. He holds a Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
