Albany, NY – In today's Academic Minute, Dr. Francesco Duina of Bates College explores why the U.S. is consistently outranked on lists of the world's happiest countries.
Dr. Duina is associate professor and chair of sociology. He earned a Ph.D. at Harvard and is visiting professor at Copenhagen Business School.
His current books are Institutions and the Economy and Winning: Reflections on an American Obsession. Dr. Duina's research and teaching interests include economic sociology, the nation state, institutionalist theory, regional economic integration, and the sociology of culture.
