Dr. Caprio is William Brough Professor of Economics and Chair of the Center for Development Economics. He earned a Ph.D. at Michigan.
Dr. Caprio's research interests include financial regulation and financial crises around the world, financial history, and economic development. He is the author of the upcoming book The Guardians of Finance: Making them Work for Us.
