Albany, NY – In today's Academic Minute, Dr. Nicole Burkholder-Mosco, associate professor of English at Lock Haven University, discusses the evolution of vampires in contemporary fiction.

Nicole Burkholder-Mosco earned her Ph.D. in English literature and criticism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

She teaches courses in 19th Century Fiction Contemporary Gothic Literature and Film.

Her research specialty is 19th Century Gothic Studies, with special emphasis on Henry James. She is currently working on a series of articles on current film adaptations and Neo-Victorian studies of 19th century Gothic literature.
