Snow through early afternoon today. The snow will continue north of I-90 into the late afternoon with most locations along the Mohawk Valley, I-88 corridor, Greater Capital District, Southern Vermont and the Pioneer Valley receiving 3-5 inches by dark .
Amounts of 5-8 inches are likely across the Adirondacks, Upper Hudson Valley, Champlain Valley, and Green Mountains. South of I-90 steady light snow will taper to snow showers and mix with rain showers in the afternoon. Most locations will receive 1-3 inches of snow but under 2 inches in the lower Hudson Valley and in the Connecticut Valley. Highs in the lower 30s.
Cloudy with spotty, light freezing rain or drizzle north of I-90 tonight. Light drizzle or a few rain showers elsewhere. Areas of fog. Temperatures holding in the 30s.
Rain likely tomorrow. There may be a period of sleet or freezing rain in Northern New York and New England, especially in the morning. Highs near 40.
