Two former University at Albany students who said they were victims of racial harrassment by white students on a CDTA bus in January of last year have been sentenced to three years of probation and 200 hours of community service after they were found guilty of falsely reporting an incident.
Ariel Agudio and Asha Burwell were sentenced today in Albany County Court. They could have received up to two years in prison. A third defendant had already agreed to a plea deal and was also given community service.
