University At Albany

Today is a day where remembrance services are being held across the country and Americans are pausing to recognize the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

15 years after the events of 9/11, the world is a different place. 2016 has seen terror attacks across the globe and new threats have emerged.

Discussing how things have changed WAMC’s Lucas Willard spoke with Victor Asal, an associate professor of political science at the University at Albany and expert on terrorism and homeland security.

Lucas Willard is a news reporter and host at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, which he joined in 2011. He produces and hosts The Best of Our Knowledge and WAMC Listening Party.
