GOP Presidential Hopeful To Appear In Burlington VT

Trump For President

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is in the headlines across  the Northeast.

A Trump rally is scheduledto be held Thursday night at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, Vermont. Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders was mayor of Burlington in the 1980s.

Dutchess County legislator Joel Tyner has issued a public notice via email affirming he did not submit any legislation  proposing to ban Donald Trump from Dutchess County. The communique released in response to a letter to the editor that had appeared in a Hudson Valley newspaper.

Meantime, Trump is brushing off an African militant group's video that uses his comments against Muslims to attract recruits. Trump tells Fox News that it's no surprise extremists would try to capitalize on words of a Republican presidential front-runner. The 51-minute al-Shabab video features Trump calling for Muslims to be banned from entering the U.S.
