American Pharoah To Face "Graveyard Of Favorites"

A sold-out crowd of 50,000 will be there in person and millions will watch on television this Saturday as Triple Crown winner American Pharoah races in the Travers at Saratoga Race Course. It is one of the most anticipated races in years at the track  as American Pharoah tries to avoid the stunning losses by other horses that has led Saratoga to become known as the "Graveyard of Favorites." Secretariat, Man O'War and Affirmed are just a few of the seemingly invincible horses that lost at the track. Allan Carter, the historian at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga, says the graveyard reputation at the race course is no myth.
