Journalist Ray Suarez left PBS’s Newshour in October after 14 years.  North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley speaks with Suarez about his departure from public broadcasting and his new position at Al Jazeera America.

Suarez says he departed Newshour in part because he felt his role there had been minimized.

Ray Suarez’s most recent book is Latino Americans The 500-Year Legacy That Shaped a Nation. He hosts “Inside Story” on Al Jazeera America.
