Last night in New York, that Iman Shumpert dunk served as the exclamation point, as the Knicks blew out Orlando 108-86. Carmelo Anthony and Shumpert led the way with 25 points each.
In Boston, Kevin Garnett netted 23 points and grabbed 10 boards, as the Celtics got by Utah 94-82. Boston's won five of six.
In New Jersey, Deron Williams poured in 30, as the Nets surprised Indiana 100-84.
Elsewhere, San Antonio beat Sacramento 117-112, Minnesota downed Charlotte 88-83, Chicago routed Atlanta 98-77, Toronto topped Denver 105-96, Detroit dumped Cleveland 87-75, New Orleans blasted Golden State 102-87, and the Clippers dumped Phoenix 103-86.
On the ice, last night in New York, Ryan Callahan and Michael Del Zotto each had a goal and an assist, as the Rangers moved to the top of the NHL standings with a 4-2 win over Winnipeg.
Elsewhere, Anaheim skated past San Jose 3-1, Dallas dropped Edmonton 3-1, Columbus doubled up Detroit 4-2, Los Angeles blanked Calgary 3-0, and Vancouver shutout Colorado 1-0.
