Springfield, MA – Another potential Democratic challenger to US Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts is pulling out of the race. WAMC's Paul Tuthill reports...
Alan Khazei is the latest to withdraw from the race which has changed dramatically since Elizabeth Warren announced her candidacy in September.
Khazei, a founder of City Year, who ran in the 2010 special election following the death of Edward Kennedy, had said just over a week ago that he intended to remain a candidate, despite Warren's strong fund raising and her surge in the polls.
But now his spokesman said Khazei no longer sees a path to victory. Two others, Setti Warren and Bob Massie, dropped out, leaving Warren with three little know, and poorly financed challengers for the Democratic nomination.
