Essex, VT – Police conducted another search for a missing Essex, VT, couple Tuesday that included searching part of the Winooski River by boat. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more...

Police chose the area based on a phone call made to Bill Currier on June 9, the day he and his wife were reported missing.

Police and rescue personnel on Tuesday searched an area called "68 acres" in Essex.

Police suspect foul play and said on Tuesday that there were signs of a struggle at the couple's home.

The Burlington Free Press reports that someone from the University of Vermont, where Bill Currier worked, called his cell phone at 7:30 the morning he was reported missing. He did not answer.

Police used that call to try to determine where Currier's cell phone was at the time.

I'm Pat Bradley, WAMC News.
