Springfield, MA – A liberal group says it has raised $100,000 to boost the possible U.S. Senate candidacy of Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts. WAMC's Paul Tuthill reports...
The Progressive Change Campaign Committee said Monday more than 53,000 people have joined its online effort to draft Warren and pledged tens of thousands of volunteer hours.
Of the money raised, $75,000 would go directly to Warren's campaign, while $25,000 would pay for online ads in Massachusetts promoting the draft effort.
Brown's campaign has nearly $10 million.
The Harvarod law professor plans to make a decision after Labor Day and is spending the next few weeks talking with voters and party activists.
Top national Democrats desperate to take back the seat long held by the late Senator Edward Kennedy have been urging Warren to run despite a crowded primary field.
