Pittsfield, MA – Along with being a co-chair of Lift Ev'ry Voice, Shirley Edgerton is also the founder of the Women of Color Giving Circle of the Berkshires and founder and director of the Youth Alive step dance program, heard here practicing in advance of their festival performance.
Edgerton described how the idea for the festival was born, and the reaction of the cultural community, including Tanglewood, Mass MoCA and Jacob's Pillow, who are all hosting events throughout the festival.
