Washington, DC – The Environmental Protection Agency has refused to give California a waiver for what would be first-in-the-nation greenhouse gas emissions limits on cars, trucks and SUV's. The denial affects sixteen other states that planned to implement the California standards, including Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Maine.
