New Leader For Appalachian Mountain Club

Boston, MA – The Appalachian Mountain Club has hired its first new president in more than two decades. John Judge, on February 1st will become the leader of the nation's oldest outdoor recreation and conservation organization. The club has chapters from Maine to Washington DC and facilities that include hundreds of miles of hiking and skiing trails, campsites and lodges. The club is steward over thousands of acres of wilderness. Judge is the former chief development officer for the city of Springfield Massachusetts. He spoke with WAMC's Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief, Paul Tuthill.
