Boston, MA – Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick proposed no new taxes in the 30 point five billion dollar state budget he unveiled last week. But in order to balance the books, Patrick is proposing to collect more taxes. Cities and towns in the state may also be eyeing so-called local option taxes, as a way to close projected budget gaps .WAMC's Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports .
