Martin Fletcher was once the NBC news bureau chief in Tel Aviv, Israel. He has won many awards including the National Jewish Book Award, a Columbia University DuPont Award and five Emmy's. His latest book is "Promised Land: A Novel Of Israel". The story follows a struggling family intertwined with the epic saga of a struggling nation's early years.
