Keith Lockhart Celebrates 20 Years As Conductor Of The Boston Pops

The Boston Pops’ concerts are a huge part of what make a Tanglewood season. Already this year the pops have performed with Sheryl Crow and presented a Simply Sondheim evening.

This coming Sunday, July 5th they’ll be joined in The Shed by the incredible singer and actress Bernadette Peters. Keith Lockhart is the conductor of The Boston Pops – and is celebrating 20th years in that post this year!

Dr. Alan Chartock is professor emeritus at the University at Albany. He hosts the weekly Capitol Connection series, heard on public radio stations around New York. The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
