Ideas Matter - Pennsylvania Humanities Council - The Evolving Artistry Of The Beatles

We are very happy to continue our weekly feature on The Roundtable, entitled – Ideas Matter: Checking in with the Public Humanities. It is our chance to check in with the Humanities Councils throughout our 7-State area to discuss important ideas and why they do indeed matter.

Today we’ll check in with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and discuss The Evolving Artistry of the Beatles.

PHC Commonwealth Speaker, Kenneth Womack Professor of English and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Penn State University’s Altoona College. He is the author or editor of more than 20 books, including Long and Winding Roads: The Evolving Artistry of the Beatles and the Cambridge Companion to the Beatles. In his PHC presentations he brings the story of the Fab Four vividly to life through an audio- and video-oriented discussion.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
