Tara Jacobs cruised in Tuesday's Democratic primary as she seeks a third two-year term as the western Massachusetts representative on the Governor's Council.

Governor's Council District 8 representative Tara Jacobs has represented much of Western Massachusetts on the body that advises the governor on issues including pardons and judicial appointments since 2022.

Primary contests big and small have been shaping up across Massachusetts – but, come Sept. 1st, one in particular will appear on ballots in all four of the state's westernmost counties, plus some of Central Mass.
