On Saturday, legendary American singer-songwriter and Grateful Dead founding member Bobby Weir died at the age of 78 after a struggle with cancer and underlying health issues. Weir's musical career began in 1963 when he was just 16, and over the next 60 years, he spent as much time as possible on stage. A cosmic cowboy, a die hard jazz fan, an interpreter of the folk song book, and above all else, a storyteller, Weir reflected every facet of the American musical experience.
