GaN semiconductors

Officials gathered at the FAB9 plant in Vermont today to celebrate $1.5 billion from the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act for expansion and upgrades at GlobalFoundries in Malta, New York and Essex Junction, Vermont.

The University of Vermont and GlobalFoundries are partnering to create a new laboratory that will offer students high-tech learning opportunities and the company access to a trained workforce.
