NFL:

A Dallas judge set a $1,500 bond for former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel in his misdemeanor domestic assault case. Manziel's attorney says his client is expected to turn himself in for booking next week, though no date has been set. The Heisman Trophy winner and former Texas A&M star was indicted by a grand jury this week after his ex-girlfriend alleged he hit her and threatened to kill her during a night out in January.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the league is ready to move on from "Deflategate." A federal appeals court ruled Monday that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady must serve a four-game suspension handed down by the NFL for the use of underinflated footballs at the AFC championship game in January 2015. The court overturned a ruling by a Manhattan judge while siding with the league in a battle with the players union.
A Massachusetts man has donated his Buffalo Bills memorabilia collection of more than 100,000 items to a western New York museum. The Buffalo History Museum announced Tuesday that it's acquiring the collection from Greg Tranter, a 59-year-old Bills season ticket holder who began collecting souvenirs after attending his first game in Buffalo when he was 8.
NBA:
In the NBA playoffs, Charlotte beat Miami 90-88, Portland bested the Clippers 108-98, and it was Golden State over Houston 114-81 sending the Warriors to the Western Conference semifinals.
A person with knowledge of the details says the New York Knicks have interviewed former Cleveland coach David Blatt for their head coaching position. Knicks President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson met with Blatt this week, the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. Blatt's interview was first reported Wednesday by Yahoo Sports.
NHL:
In the NHL playoffs, the Islanders topped Tampa Bay 5-3 and Nashville beat Anaheim 2-1 in Game 7.
Tampa Bay's Ben Bishop, Washington's Braden Holtby and Jonathan Quick of Los Angeles are the finalists for the Vezina (VEH'-sih-nuh) Trophy as the NHL's top goalie. Bishop led the NHL with a 2.06 goals-against average, Holtby tied the league's single-season record with 48 victories and Quick had 40 wins and a 2.22 goals-against average. The winner will be announced at the NHL Awards June 22 in Las Vegas.
MLB:
In baseball, in the American League, Texas edged the Yankees 3-2, the White Sox blanked Toronto 4-0, Baltimore beat Tampa Bay 3-1, Detroit bested Oakland 9-4, Cleveland slid past Minnesota 6-5, the Angels doubled up Kansas City 4-2, and it was Houston over Seattle 7-4.
In the National League, the Mets defeated Cincinnati 5-2, St. Louis beat Arizona 11-4, Miami shut out the Dodgers 2-0, San Francisco beat San Diego 13-9, Philadelphia blanked Washington 3-0, and it was Pittsburgh over Colorado 9-8 in 12 innings. The Milwaukee at Cubs game was postponed due to rain.
In interleague play, Boston beat Atlanta 9-4.
Horse Racing:
Victor Espinoza has landed aboard longshot Whitmore for the May 7 Kentucky Derby. That will give him the jockey a chance for an unprecedented three-peat in the Run for the Roses. Espinoza won the Derby with California Chrome in 2014 and with eventual Triple Crown winner American Pharoah last year. Whitmore finished third in the Arkansas Derby and second in the Rebel Stakes in his last two starts.
NCAA:
The NCAA Board of Governors has adopted an anti-discrimination measure that would affect the way the governing body evaluates bids to host sporting events. The NCAA said it requires sites that are hosting events or bidding on them "to demonstrate how they will provide an environment that is safe, healthy and free of discrimination." The NCAA said the decision follows actions of legislatures in several states.
MLS:
Dominic Oduro scored in the opening seconds of stoppage time and the Montreal Impact escaped with a 1-1 draw against New York City FC Wednesday night.
Montreal (4-3-1) earned a free kick along the right sideline in the 90th minute and Didier Drogba sent the ball into the box. Two Impact players broke free, with Oduro getting his head on the ball and sending it just inside the post for his third goal.
New York City (1-3-4) took the lead in the 51st minute on a great buildup that led to RJ Allen's first goal. Allen, a New Jersey native, carried the ball inside midfield and sent it wide right to Khiry Shelton. Shelton one-touched it into the box and Thomas McNamara touched it back to the charging Allen for a shot inside the far post. Montreal's late goal ran NYC's winless streak to seven games.
Portland's own goal in the 89th minute gave the New England Revolution a 1-1 draw with the Timbers Wednesday night. New England had a 16-8 shot advantage at Foxborough but only managed a tie.
