NFL:
On Thursday Night Football, Arizona topped St. Louis 12-6.
On Sunday at 1 p.m. Washington is in the Meadowlands to face the Giants, Green Bay visits Buffalo to take on the Bills, and New England hosts Miami at Foxboro. Then later at 4:05 the Jets are in Tennessee against the Titans.
NBA:
In the NBA, Oklahoma City beat Cleveland 103-94, and it was Houston over Sacramento in overtime 113-109.
NHL:
Over on the ice, Buffalo beat Calgary 4-3, Chicago topped Boston 3-2, St. Louis doubled up the Islanders 6-3, Philadelphia bested New Jersey 4-1, Columbus edged Washington in overtime 3-2, Los Angeles defeated Ottawa 5-3, Nashville topped Arizona 5-1, Colorado skated past Winnipeg in a shootout 4-3, San Jose beat Minnesota 2-1, and it was Tampa Bay over Carolina 2-1.
MLB:
The Boston Red Sox have traded outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to the Detroit Tigers for right-hander Rick Porcello. The Red Sox are rebuilding their starting pitching after losing 91 games this year. Pitchers Alex Wilson and Gabe Speier also will go to Detroit as part of the trade.
The Red Sox and All-Star right-hander Justin Masterson have also agreed to a one-year contract. Masterson split the 2014 season between the Cleveland Indians and the St. Louis Cardinals. In 25 starts and three relief appearances, he combined for a 7-9 record with a 5.88 ERA.
Meanwhile the New York Mets have agreed to a $1.45 million, one-year contract with outfielder John Mayberry Jr.
