Kaepernick Leads 49ers To 27-6 Victory Over Washington

In the NFL, Colin Kaepernick had a productive game to help the San Francisco improve to 7-4. Kaepernick passed for 235 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions as the 49ers dominated Washington 27-6.

In the NBA, Jordan Crawford had 21 points and Gerald Wallace came off the bench to add a season-high 17 as Boston downed Charlotte 96-86.

The Blazers have an 11-game winning streak after their 102-91 win over New York. Indiana beat Minnesota 98-84. Detroit defeated Milwaukee 113-94. Miami topped Phoenix 107-92. Houston downed Memphis 93-86. Denver won against Dallas 110-96. San Antonio beat New Orleans 112-93.

It was a rough day for the Chicago Bulls as they lost to the NBA's worst team and learned point guard Derrick Rose would miss the rest of the season. Utah downed the Bulls 89-83 in overtime to win for only the second time in 16 games. Rose had knee surgery on Monday.

After losing the past three games, the UAlbany men’s basketball team may have a shot at redemption. The Danes start a four-game road trip tonight, playing Rider University of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in Lawrenceville, N.J.

University of Massachusetts is back in The Associated Press Top 25 for the first time in 15 years. The Minutemen were ranked 24th in the latest AP poll released Monday.

Michigan State remains the No. 1 team, picking up 56 of 65 first-place votes.

Checking news on the ice, Boston edged Pittsburgh 4-3 in overtime. Columbus shut out Toronto 6-0. Winnipeg bested New Jersey 3-1. Tampa Bay blanked the NY Rangers 5-0. Florida beat Philadelphia 3-1. St. Louis shut out Minnesota 3-0. Nashville doubled up Phoenix 4-2. Chicago trumped Edmonton 5-1 and Vancouver fell to Los Angeles 3-2 in overtime.

In other sports news, Skidmore’s Kelly Blackhurst was named the North Atlantic Region Player of the Year by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association of America.
