Checking the NBA the Celtics beat the visiting Heat 100-98 in double overtime to snap a six-game losing streak. Paul Pierce hit a go-ahead jumper with 31 seconds left and finished with a triple-double of 17 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.

In top 25 College Basketball 2nd ranked Michigan shut out Illinois 74-60.
7th ranked Indiana defeated 13th Michigan St. 75-70. And 25th ranked Miami took on and defeated Florida St. 71-47.
